Demo Day - and Days and Days and Days Series

Demo days, baby!

Because Birtha is so large (2,000+ SF is large to us, especially with our last home being under 1,000 SF!), and we have done so much demo (so much), I'm breaking the demolition of different parts of our home into separate posts. Plus:

1. Demo is really freaking fun, and I want to relive my glory days (of just last year)!

2. It would be completely overwhelming to see all the demo we've done in one post. Seriously - I cannot believe how much we've taken out of this home.

3. I'm hoping you can appreciate and be as impressed with us and we are with us. Don't mind if we do pat ourselves on our backs!

And if you think I'm exaggerating with so much (so much), we removed over 30,000 pounds from Birtha.

YES, I SAID THIRTY-THOUSAND POUNDDSSSS.

Birtha was empty when we bought her, so it's not as if we were throwing away furniture, and heavy things like appliances you're not allowed to put in dumpsters. Things we did throw away included plaster, lathe, kitchen cabinets, laminate countertops, wood paneling, plywood, normal ugly tile and abnormally ugly red marble tile, two tubs, a toilet, sinks, bathroom vanities, fans, lighting, bricks from the fireplace, stones from the fireplace, 2x4s, insulation, baseboards, carpet, carpet padding and other miscellaneous things like mouse poop, gloves and trash from our fast food (which we basically subsisted off of for four months as we spent pretty much all of our free time trying to get Birtha livable so we could finally move in).

I'll roll out (or should I say roll off, like a dumpster, HA!) the very first post for this series in a few days, but based on the Birtha Before Tour, what room or area of the home would you want to see the demo of first?
